Mercury vs Sun predictions
As the Phoenix Mercury heads into the Mohegan Sun Arena, I'm predicting a big game from Kahleah Copper, who's been on fire lately. After dropping 32 points in her last outing, I think she'll continue to ride that momentum and put up around 25-27 points against the Sun. Natasha Cloud will also be key in facilitating the Mercury's offense, and I expect her to dish out at least 7-8 assists. Meanwhile, Natasha Mack will need to assert herself on the glass to give Phoenix a chance at victory - I'm projecting her to grab around 8-10 rebounds.
On the other side of the court, DeWanna Bonner will be looking to lead the Connecticut Sun to their sixth straight win. I think she'll have a solid outing, scoring around 22-24 points and pulling down 6-7 rebounds. Alyssa Thomas will be crucial in facilitating the Sun's offense, and I expect her to rack up at least 9 assists. She'll also be a force on the glass, likely grabbing around 10-11 rebounds. If the Sun are to come out on top, they'll need a strong team effort, but I think Bonner and Thomas will be the driving forces behind their success.
Given the strengths of both teams, this one's going to be a tough matchup. But in the end, I think the Connecticut Sun's undefeated record will stay intact.
