Liberty vs Lynx predictions
As the New York Liberty head to the Target Center to take on the Minnesota Lynx, I'm expecting big things from their star player Breanna Stewart. With an average of 19.4 points per game, I think she'll be hungry to put on a show against a tough Lynx defense. I predict she'll drop at least 22 points, and possibly even snag 10 rebounds to go along with it. Sabrina Ionescu, the Liberty's dynamic point guard, will also be key to their success. With 6.0 assists per game, she's got the vision and court awareness to find open teammates and create scoring opportunities. Look for her to dish out 7-8 assists and contribute 15-17 points of her own.
On the other side of the court, Napheesa Collier has been on an absolute tear for the Lynx, averaging 26.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. I think she'll be just as dominant in this matchup, potentially even exceeding those averages against a Liberty defense that's been vulnerable at times. Courtney Williams, the Lynx's pesky point guard, will also be a thorn in the side of the Liberty's defense. With her ability to penetrate and create for herself and others, I predict she'll chip in 18-20 points and 7-8 assists. The Lynx's balanced attack will be tough for the Liberty to contain.

The Liberty will keep it close, but ultimately, the Lynx's balanced attack and defensive prowess will be too much for them to overcome.
